Structural Composition: The V-type rubber shaft seal ring typically consists of three components: a support ring, a sealing ring, and a pressure ring. The support ring has a thick and sturdy cross-section with precise dimensions, and its concave angle is the same (90°) as or slightly larger than that of the V-type sealing ring, used to stably position the sealing ring. The pressure ring creates an initial compression amount for the sealing ring, ensuring it fully contacts the sealed surface and allowing adjustment of the compression amount.
Sealing Principle: In a free state, the outer diameter of the lip of the V-ring is larger than the inner diameter of the packing chamber, and the inner diameter of the lip is smaller than the outer diameter of the piston rod, resulting in deformation after assembly. Due to the role of the support ring, deformation occurs only at the tip of the lip, generating pressure at the contact site. Even without applied pressure, the lip can seal a certain internal pressure. When the working pressure of the medium increases, the tip of the lip changes its contact shape and increases contact stress, making the lip fit more tightly with the sealed surface to achieve sealing.
